Shopplaza Partnership Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Shopplaza collaborates with Shopify apps, agencies, technology providers, ecommerce professionals, publishers, and other relevant businesses to create more value for Shopify merchants.
This policy explains the general terms that apply to Shopplaza partnerships. Each opportunity is reviewed individually based on relevance, quality, available resources, and mutual value. Approval of one activity does not guarantee future collaboration, specific benefits, or financial compensation.
1. Partnership opportunities
Depending on relevance, available resources, technical feasibility, and mutual value, a Shopplaza partnership may include one or more of the following activities.
In-app recommendations and cross-promotion
Shopplaza and a partner may recommend complementary apps or services through relevant in-app placements or merchant communications. The placement, messaging, duration, and responsibilities will be agreed before launch. In-app recommendations are not guaranteed to be permanent.
Social media mentions
Collaborations may include product mentions, launch announcements, educational content, event promotion, or other agreed social activities. The platform, content, timing, tags, and brand assets must be approved in advance.
Partner-page listings
Approved partners may be featured on the Shopplaza Partners page with their name, logo, description, and relevant link. Shopplaza may update or remove a listing if it becomes inaccurate, outdated, unavailable, or no longer relevant.
Link exchanges
Shopplaza may consider contextual link exchanges when both resources are relevant and useful to readers. All links, anchor text, placement, and attributes remain subject to editorial review. Participation does not guarantee a do-follow link, equal placement, permanent publication, or improvements in rankings and traffic.
We do not participate in bulk, irrelevant, misleading, automated, or manipulative link schemes. Shopplaza may update or remove links that no longer meet our standards.
Guest posts and sponsored content
Shopplaza may consider guest articles, expert contributions, interviews, case studies, tutorials, and sponsored content that provide practical value to Shopify merchants.
All content must be original, accurate, relevant, and compliant with our editorial standards. Shopplaza may edit, reject, update, add disclosures to, or remove content and links when necessary. Sponsored-content fees, disclosures, deliverables, link treatment, and publication terms must be agreed separately in writing.
Product and technical collaborations
Shopplaza may collaborate with app providers, development agencies, consultants, system integrators, and other technology companies. Activities may include app integrations, compatibility testing, joint merchant solutions, implementation support, shared documentation, technical consultation, and coordinated support.
The parties must clearly distinguish between a direct technical integration, compatible but separate products, and a marketing or referral relationship. Products must not be described as integrated unless a working integration has been developed and verified.
For technical projects, scope, responsibilities, data handling, security, support, maintenance, and launch terms will be defined in a separate agreement before work begins. Discussing or testing a solution does not guarantee development, public launch, permanent compatibility, or continued support.
Other partnership activities
Shopplaza may also consider webinars, research, events, educational campaigns, merchant referrals, app testing, product feedback, bundled resources, or other collaboration formats agreed by the parties.
2. Who may partner with Shopplaza
We welcome relevant proposals from:
- Shopify app developers and technology providers
- Shopify agencies, developers, and service providers
- Ecommerce consultants, strategists, designers, and freelancers
- System integrators and SaaS companies
- Industry publishers, educators, creators, and communities
- Other organizations serving Shopify or ecommerce merchants
Eligibility does not guarantee acceptance. Shopplaza may accept, decline, postpone, or propose changes to any partnership request.
3. How proposals are evaluated
We generally consider:
- Relevance and value for Shopify merchants
- Fit with Shopplaza’s apps, services, audience, and brand
- Quality, accuracy, originality, and professional standards
- Expected contribution from each party
- Technical feasibility and ongoing resource requirements
- Compliance with applicable laws, Shopify requirements, privacy obligations, and advertising rules
Shopplaza may request additional information before making a decision.
4. General partnership terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- No commission: Shopplaza does not provide referral fees, revenue sharing, or monetary rewards for traffic, leads, app installs, subscriptions, or sales under its general partnership program.
- Separate B2C affiliate program: A Shopplaza partnership does not automatically enroll a partner in the affiliate program for eligible B2C apps or extend B2C affiliate benefits to B2B apps.
- Individual scope: The deliverables, channels, timing, responsibilities, and duration of each collaboration must be agreed before work begins.
- No automatic reciprocity: A contribution by one party does not require identical deliverables, equal exposure, or equivalent commercial value from the other party unless agreed in advance.
- Own costs: Each party is responsible for its own resources, costs, and expenses.
- Non-exclusive relationship: Both parties may work with other organizations, including businesses offering similar or competing products or services.
- No guaranteed results: Shopplaza does not guarantee traffic, rankings, audience reach, leads, referrals, installs, conversions, revenue, media coverage, or integration adoption.
- Independent parties: A partnership does not create an employment, agency, franchise, joint venture, or legal representative relationship. Neither party may make commitments on behalf of the other without written authorization.
A separate paid sponsorship, service agreement, or other commercial arrangement may be established when both parties approve the terms in writing.
5. Content, brand, and data standards
Partners must represent Shopplaza, its apps, services, pricing, features, performance, and relationship with Shopify accurately. They must not make misleading claims or suggest an endorsement, certification, exclusivity, or official status that has not been approved in writing.
Each party retains ownership of its trademarks, logos, content, software, designs, documentation, and other intellectual property. Brand assets may only be used for approved partnership activities and must follow any provided brand guidelines. Public announcements, press releases, and paid advertisements referring to the partnership require prior approval.
Non-public business, product, merchant, customer, and technical information must be kept confidential and used only for the agreed purpose. Personal data, store data, credentials, and other sensitive information may only be accessed or shared when necessary, properly authorized, and protected by appropriate safeguards.
6. Duration and termination
A partnership may cover a single activity, a fixed campaign, or an ongoing collaboration. Either party may end the collaboration with reasonable written notice unless a separate agreement specifies otherwise.
Shopplaza may immediately suspend or terminate a partnership if a partner breaches agreed terms, misuses Shopplaza’s brand or confidential information, engages in misleading or harmful practices, or creates legal, privacy, security, platform, or reputational risk.
After termination, unauthorized use of brand assets and confidential information must stop. Related listings, links, content, integrations, and campaign materials may be removed or updated where appropriate.
7. Policy updates
Shopplaza may update this policy as our partnership program develops. The latest version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.
If a separate written agreement conflicts with this general policy, the separate agreement will apply to that specific collaboration.
8. Propose a partnership
Submit your proposal through the Shopplaza Partners page.
Please briefly explain your company, the proposed collaboration, the products or services involved, what you can contribute, what you are requesting from Shopplaza, and your preferred timeline.
Submitting a proposal does not guarantee approval, publication, promotion, integration, or financial compensation.
