2. Show the COD form on your store
The COD form appears on your store in two steps:
- Turn on the app embed. This loads the app on your store.
- Add the COD block to your product page and cart page.
Go to SP COD Order Form & Upsell > On-site content to manage where the COD button appears.
2.1. Enable the app embed
- Go to SP COD Order Form & Upsell > Dashboard.
- Click Enable app embed in the banner. The theme editor opens with the app embed selected.
- Turn on the app embed, then click Save in the theme editor.
When the app embed is on, the banner disappears and the first step in Get started is marked complete.
2.2. Add the COD button to product pages
- Go to On-site content and open the Product page tab.
- Click Set up in theme editor. The theme editor opens on your product template with the SP COD block ready to add.
- Click Save in the theme editor.
The card status changes from Not added to Added. Click Open theme editor any time to move the block.
Where the form appears depends on your Form type:
- Pop-up: a COD button appears below your Add to cart button. Clicking it opens the form.
- Embedded: the form appears on the product page, below the variant picker.
2.3. Add the COD button to the cart page
- Go to On-site content and open the Cart page tab.
- Click Set up in theme editor, then click Save in the theme editor.
On the cart page, the COD button appears below your Check out button. It always opens the form as a pop-up, and the order includes all items in the cart.
2.4. Hide your theme’s buy buttons
Each card in On-site content has a switch to hide your theme’s own buttons on that page:
- Product page: Add to cart and Buy it now
- Cart page: Check out
Use this when you want shoppers to order with COD only.
If a shopper or product doesn’t meet your COD rules, the app doesn’t show the COD form and doesn’t hide your theme’s buttons. Shoppers can still buy through your regular checkout.
2.5. Other places on your store
You can add the COD button to the product page and cart page yourself. To show it somewhere else, such as the cart drawer, home page, collection pages, or a custom section, click Contact support in the Need it somewhere else? card. Our team will set it up for your theme.
