Settings to control who can request a quote in the Shopify RFQ app

  1. Settings > General > Who can request quotes?

    • All customers (default), or
    • Selected customers:
      • Pick from Segments (VIP, Wholesale, etc.).
      • Browse and select specific customers.

👉 Automatically create customer for guest quotes

Within this section, you can also control whether a Shopify customer account is created when a guest submits a quote:

  • Checked (default) — automatically creates a Shopify customer when a guest submits a quote
  • Unchecked — guest information is saved with the quote only. A customer account can still be created:
    • Manually from the Quote Detail page
    • Automatically when the quote is converted or accepted
    • When the guest logs in later

Notes:

  • If using Selected customers by segment or individual → guests must log in → this setting has no effect
  • If using email patterns → guests can still submit without logging in → this setting applies normally

Integrations

SP Request a Quote can integrate with SP Hide Price & Access Control

SP Request a Quote integrates with SP Hide Price & Access Control to support stores that hide prices and use custom or negotiated pricing.

With this integration, you can:

  • Create rules to hide product prices
  • Replace Add to Cart with Request a Quote on the storefront

Customers can submit quote requests normally, and all quotes are managed in the Request a Quote app.

To get started, click Create Hide Price rule to set up your price-hiding conditions.
