Get started with MP Advanced B2B Shipping
Introduction
Welcome! This guide will help you get familiar with MP Advanced B2B Shipping. The app is built for Shopify merchants who need accurate shipping fees, smarter batching, and streamlined coordination with their warehouse or fulfillment teams. You don’t need technical skills – everything is handled through simple, admin-friendly settings.
What does this app do?
- Calculate shipping fees using real product dimensions, fallback dimensions, DIM factor, surcharges, and custom carrier methods.
- Create and manage carrier methods with flexible rates, minimum charges, ETA ranges, and per-method overrides.
- Group eligible orders into batches based on rules like delivery date, location, company, carrier method, or weight/volume thresholds.
- Manage each batch through a clear lifecycle (Collecting → Ready to dispatch → Dispatched → Delivered).
- Notify your WMS or operations team automatically using customizable email templates.
- Allow customers to choose a future delivery date at checkout and define excluded dates (holidays, blackout days).
- Apply product dimension rules or fallback dimensions when Shopify data is missing, ensuring every order can be rated and batched correctly.

Before you begin
- A Shopify store with admin access.
- Permission to open Online Store → Themes and enable the app embed.
- Basic shipping information ready (carrier pricing, DIM factor, surcharge details).
- (Optional) Email recipients for warehouse notifications.
Installation and first-time setup
Step 1: Install the app
- From Shopify admin, go to Apps.
- Open the Shopify App Store.
- Search for MP Advanced B2B Shipping.
- Click Install and approve permissions.
- You will be redirected to the app Dashboard.
Step 2: Enable the app on your storefront
If you see a yellow banner like “MP Advanced B2B Shipping is currently not displayed on your site**”:
- Click Enable app.
- Shopify will open the Theme Editor with the app embed pre-added.
- Click Save in the Theme Editor.
- Return to the app and click Refresh status.
- The banner will disappear once the app is active.
Step 3: Quick configuration checklist
Once installed, complete the essential setup:
- Create at least one Carrier Method (required).
- Configure your DIM factor, fallback dimensions, and surcharge settings.
- Set up Product Dimension Rules, if your product data is incomplete.
- Create Batch Rules to control how orders are grouped.
- Enable and configure Email Notifications for WMS or operations teams.
- (Optional) Turn on Future Delivery and define your excluded dates.
